Jet Black Creative Arts and Sports Academy is a Community Interest Company dedicated to empowering at-risk and vulnerable young people in Greater Manchester by providing them with enriching opportunities in the arts and sports. Serving children and youth who face limited access to safe, positive outlets, we organise activities like dance, music production, football, and netball to foster their healthy development and keep them positively engaged, offering alternatives to criminal influences.

Beyond our regular activities, we celebrate our community's talent and achievements through competitions and cultural events. In August 2024, we hosted a memorable Emancipation Day celebration, bringing families together to honour the legacy of freedom and heritage with performances, sports, and educational sessions, fostering community unity and pride.

Our academy not only hosts competitions and cultural events to celebrate community talent, but we also create pathways for young people to perform and shine at major events. In collaboration with CAHN (Caribbean and African Health Network), our youth have showcased their talents during Black History Month. We also proudly partner with the Sweaty Betty Foundation and Sporting Equals—a charity championing ethnic diversity in sports—on the ‘Girls Powered’ project, supporting Black and South Asian heritage girls in Greater Manchester since 2021.

Our young participants have had the chance to appear on Blue Peter as part of our Black History Month programming and was invited to participate in the MTV EMA in Manchester November 2024, providing them with meaningful experiences that build confidence, community pride, and future aspirations.

Since its launch, Jetblack Creative Arts and Sports has successfully delivered dynamic and engaging holiday camps that have made a lasting impact on young people. We’ve created a space where children can explore their talents, build confidence, and form friendships while engaging in a variety of activities, including multi-sports, dance, arts, music, and educational workshops.

We’ve:

• Empowered hundreds of young participants to develop new skills and set goals through our carefully curated programs.

• Fostered teamwork, creativity, and cultural awareness, helping children connect with their peers in meaningful ways.

• Delivered enriching holiday experiences in a safe, fun, and supportive environment, ensuring every child feels included and valued.

• Worked with passionate instructors and facilitators who bring expertise and energy to every session, leaving children inspired and excited.

Jetblack Creative Arts and Sports has established itself as a trusted provider of holiday programs that combine fun with purpose, giving young people the tools they need to aim high and achieve greatness.
